Dal lake in Srinagar is one of the most visited places in Jammu and Kashmir and this tulip garden is located just 9 KM from the Dal Lake. Lal Chauk is another famous place near this garden, just 8 KM away. Tulip Garden can be accessed by road from Lal Chauk in 20-30 minutes. Spread in 74 Acers

This garden is spread over more than 74 acres at the base of the Zabarwan Range. It is surrounded by mountains which gives a unique beauty to the array of Tulip flowers. 

Ticket Price for the Tulip Garden

As of the year 2021, the Tulip garden price for adults was Rs.59, for kids (2-5 Years) Rs. 24 and free for kids below 2 years. Compared to the beauty of the garden these prices are nowhere comparable.

Origin of the Flowers at Tulip Garden:

There are about 70 varieties of Tulip flowers available in this Tulip Garden. While setting up this Tulip garden more than 1.5 million Tulip bulbs were brought from KEUKENHOF Tulip garden Amsterdam. All these bulbs were then grown and propagated in this garden.  

Multiple Variety of Flowers are Available apart from Tulips

Hundreds of other varieties of other flowers are also available in this garden. While setting up this garden around 46 varieties of other flowers such as Hyacinths, Daffodils and Ranunculus were brought from Holland. 

Apart from the Tulip garden Cherry garden was opened and may gain popularity in future.

The Tulip flower belongs to the Lilly flower family and is found in multiple colours. Tulip flowers are generally bigger in size and the Giant Sunrise Tulip is the Worls largest Tulip. There are around 75 major species of Tulips. Originally Tulip flowers were found in Southern Europe and Central Asia.
